Sunday (18:00 – 23:00): Welcome Reception Finkenkrug

On Sunday evening, we’ll kick off with a welcome Reception — a perfect opportunity to arrive, connect, and have initial engaging discussions. The Event will take place at the Finkenkrug (Finkenstraße 8, 47057 Duisburg), a local Pub only 5 minutes away from the venue and famous (not only to students) for their extraordinary selection of bevarages (inlc. over 300 types of beer and various soft-drinks, juices, teas and coffee specialties).

Monday (17:30 – 23:00): Demo & Poster Reception

The Demo & Poster Reception on Sunday will take place on site at the L-Area of Campus Duisburg. The reception includes 94 Posters (LX, LK), covering publications from HCI-Research, the Usability Professionals, the Doctoral Consortium and the Student Research Competition. We further present 30 Interactive Demonstrations (LA, LK, LD) were you can experience the latest developments in Research hands-on and vote for your favorite demo presentations. For your personal well-being you can find Food (LA) and Beverages (in front of LX) around the exhibition area. If you visit all exhibition areas, you will be rewarded not only with a bunch of new impressions and fruitful discussions but also with an extra free drink!

Tuesday (18:00 – 23:00): Conference Dinner Bora

On Tuesday evening, we invite you to the Bora (Dellplatz 16 A, 47051 Duisburg) for our Conference Dinner.

Housed in a beautifully restored building right on Dellplatz, the Bora blends a relaxed café-bar vibe with the flair of a cultural venue. Normally home to concerts, comedy, live performances, and open, welcoming space for everyone. For one evening, it’s ours: a stylish backdrop with real character, just a few minutes from the conference venue.

Enjoy dinner from the grill and salad buffet while relaxing in the cozy café atmosphere downstairs. The perfect setting for socializing, networking, and swapping impressions from the conference. Once you’re ready for more, head upstairs, where we’ve arranged a well-rounded program to keep the evening going:

About Malte Küppers:

Malte Küppers is a Duisburg-based comedian known for his sharp, quick-witted takes on everyday life and the quirks of the Ruhr region. Originally coming up through the German poetry slam scene since 2016 — competing at state and national championships along the way — he’s since become a favorite for his stand-up-style humor, hosting, and crowd work. He’s also a published author, with his debut book “Wenn zwei sich streiten, kommt ein Dritter dazu” out since 2021. Expect a show of sharp jokes, clever wordplay, and plenty of laughs.
