The “Mensch und Computer” conference is the annual event of the Human-Computer Interaction Division of the German Informatics Society (Gesellschaft für Informatik e.V., GI) and the German Usability Professionals Association (German UPA). It is the largest conference on human-computer interaction in Europe and has brought together participants from academia and industry every year since 2000. 

This year’s edition will take place from August 30 to September 2, 2026, at the University of Duisburg-Essen, in Duisburg, Germany. The conference serves as a platform for presenting research in human-computer interaction, fostering collaboration between academia and industry, and advancing knowledge on how people interact with information and communication technologies.
